Magnetic Stick Figures, Bendy Fidget Toy For Kids
Ten little men, seven centimetres tall, one in each colour, and a magnet set into both hands and both feet. That is the whole toy. It is also the reason a father filmed his table at a diner with the caption when you find an activity that entertains the whole table, it's a win.
They bend. The arms and legs are soft tinted plastic you can twist into a shape and leave there. And because the magnets are at the ends, they grab each other hand to hand: two become a bridge, five become a chain across the fridge door, ten become whatever gets built next.
They weigh a hundred grams together. No batteries, nothing to charge, nothing to plug in. They go in a coat pocket, come out at the restaurant, at the airport, in the back of the car, and go back in.
The manufacturer rates them 7 to 14 years and we keep that rating: each figure carries four small magnets, and small magnets belong with children old enough to leave them out of their mouth.
